President Obama announced sanctions against Russia today for “election hacking” by expelling 35 Russian diplomats and closing down 2 Russian compounds.
More specifically, and according to Reuters, the imposed sanctions were for “hacking into U.S. political institutions and individuals and leaking information to help President-elect Donald Trump and other Republican candidates.”
Apparently, the Obama administration is trying to bolster the notion that Russia actually had a significant impact on US Elections in November. It is likely that only weak minded liberals or just apathetic citizens will be affected by the push of this idea, but they are trudging ahead anyway, even at the risk of stirring up international ill will toward the US. Just goes to show the lengths that Democrats will go to in order to avoid reality.
The Russian government has responded to the Obama press release via their embassy in the U.K.

Well, at least it seems by the picture that Russia does not not consider Obama potent for the next 3 weeks, even to the point of taunting him. I have a suggestion however, that the Russians change the picture to a kitten.
It seems that Russia is moving past Obama, and looking to better relations under President Trump.
